Desly reports that Daniel’s fitness levels upon return to sport were very high and he is gradually making a full return to elite training volumes and intensities. At the conclusion of the Salt Lake City training camp Daniel was training with minimal pain following some schedule changes in order to manage training load. After only three weeks of on ice training, Daniel managed a 100 standing start and a decent sub max lap which was very pleasing.
In late September Daniel returned to the Netherlands where he continued training before traveling to Inzell, Germany on the 5th October for another intensive camp.
With more positive progress during October, Daniel plans to contest the Calgary, World Cup in Canada during November.
