Nate Henry was born in Canada and played ice hockey. One day while skating at his local rink, the coach there suggested that he try speed skating. He started speed skating to become a better hockey player but eventually it became his primary sport.
In November 2012, Henry had a career highlight of 12th place in the 1500m. This continues to be his personal best result on World Cup.
During the 2013-2014 season, Henry achieved a personal best World Championship result of 32nd in Montreal, Canada.
At the 2014 Australian Short Track Championships, Henry placed third in the 500m and second in the 3000m distances.

I began this sport .... I began this sport in 2009 on the NSW Central Coast and became National Junior Champion in my first year. I first represented Australia internationally at the junior level in 2011 and became a member of the Australian senior team during the 2012-13 season.

When I am not training/competing I am: Playing soccer, studying at Uni or playing music.
Favourite overseas competition and why: Winter Universiade 2013, it was a really fun low pressure competition with lots of different athletes.
