Experimenting with a new sled, the Australian’s placed 15th in both runs down the Winterberg track.
The event was won by the Canadian pair Kaillie Humphries and Chelsea Valois.
The team is currently sitting in 15th place overall on the World Cup standings, following finishes of 15th, 14th and 14th in the opening World Cup events in North America.
After the race, driver Astrid Radjenovic commented on the development of the new sled and an exciting new training partner.
“We have suffered some equipment troubles so far, and are in the process of repairing an older sled, and testing a new one.”
“It has meant some inconsistency so far, but we hope we can iron out these problems this half of the season, and be really firing by January.”
“Our push starts have improved thanks to recruitment of brakewoman Fiona Harrison, and we will also be trialling Jana Pittman in January behind the sled.”
“We hope with the addition of Jana our push starts will develop further towards the Olympic season, and once we get the right equipment running we will progress very well.”
The next World Cup event is scheduled to take place in La Plagne, France, on December 14.
