In the 1000m, Pierre Boda and Lachlan Hay were in action and both achieved season-best times.
Boda won his repechage heat this morning, while Hay finished second in his, meaning both qualified for the repechage semi-finals.
This is where their run ended, however, Hay finished second in his race in a time of one minute 27.895 seconds, missing a place in the Quarter Finals by just 100th of a second.
Early on the program, the men’s 5000m relay team was unlucky in its heat. After leading with 14 laps remaining, Alex Bryant was tripped and went down. The team was unable to recover and had to settle for fourth place.
In the 500m, Boda was the best placed, finishing 25th, Andy Jung just behind in 26th, while Bryant finished in 31st position.
Hay and Bryant also competed in the 1500m, finishing 30th and 38th overall respectively.
