First up was Pierre Boda, who made it through the first two repechage rounds before his run ended in the Repechage Semifinal for an overall 22nd placing.
Deanna Lockett, having qualified on Friday direct to the quarterfinal round, was unable to progress any further, narrowing missing the required top two result in a very tight finish. She was placed 12th overall.
The team now has a competition break until the Shanghai World Cup starting on December 12.
Armstrong Lazenby missed the Montreal event having injured himself in training prior to the start of racing. He’ll be looking to be back in action in China.
As well as Deanna Lockett’s strong performances in Salt Lake City, the other highlight of the two-event tour was the performance of young skater, Andy Jung, who set a new 500 metre Australian Senior Mens Overseas record in the repechage quarters on Saturday of 41.304 seconds.
