Aussie's ready for Junior World Championships on home ice

AIS athlete Pierre Boda at the Medibank Icehouse

The world’s best junior short track speed skating athletes have assembled at the Medibank Icehouse in Melbourne’s Docklands facility to compete in the 2012 ISU Junior World Championships.

The Australian team consists of male athletes Pierre Boda, Nate Henry, Armstorng Lazenby and Angus McCulloch with female athletes Deanna Lockett, Emma Coxon-Smith and Sinead Forgarty.

AIS Short Track Speed Skater Pierre Boda was looking forward to the major event on his home ice.

“Having the international teams training alongside us has really added extra intensity to our training sessions.”

“The ice conditions at the rink are very fast at the moment and we are looking forward to the three days of competition.”
