Anton Grimus

If there was any Australian winter sport competitor who was destined to become one of the country’s elite athletes, it is Anton. Anton is the son of Mt Buller icon Hans Grimus, proprietor of the famous Pension Grimus Hotel.
But while being born into a family synonymous with a snow resort meant that skiing was an almost certain outcome, achieving the distinction of national selection had to be earned.
Anton was a member of the Australian National Alpine Team, but made the switch to Ski Cross in 2010 with immediate success, qualifying second for the final in his first World Cup start.
As a result of loads of hard work and sacrifices, plus clever tutoring from Australian Institute of Sport coaches and his role model and teammate, Scott Kneller, Anton is delivering the goods as a vital member of Australia’s ski cross team.
