Hoffman 46th in Are World Cup slalom

2026 Olympian Maddie Hoffman has competed in her final World Cup event of the season, finishing 46th in the slalom in Are, Sweden, her first World Cup since the Milano-Cortina Games.
 
Hoffman finished her run in a time of 54.45 seconds in 46th place, missing the top-30 cut off for the second run.
 
Legendary American Mikaela Shiffrin won the event for the 109th World Cup victory of her career.

Five Australian’s compete in Junior World Championships

The FIS Alpine Skiing Junior World Championships took place last week in Narvik, Norway, with five athletes representing Australia.
 
Headlining the team was 2026 Olympian Phoebe Heaydon, who came close to a medal, sitting in fourth in the slalom after the first run, but unfortunately was unable to complete the second run.

Small and McAdam close out 2025–26 World Cup season

Greta Small and Hugh McAdam have completed their final World Cup appearances of the 2025–26 season, with Small competing in Val di Fassa, Italy, and McAdam racing in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia.
 
Small contested two downhill events, finishing 47th and 55th, where Italy’s Laura Pirovano claimed victory on both days. Small did not compete in the super‑G, with Elena Curtoni completing an Italian clean sweep taking victory on home snow.
 
In the men’s slalom in Kranjska Gora, McAdam was unable to complete his run, with Norway’s Atle Lie McGrath claiming the win. Brazilian Lucas Pinheiro Braathen was victorious in the giant slalom.
 
Madi Hoffman will be the final Australian to compete in World Cup action this season, lining up in the slalom event in Åre, Sweden, on March 15.

Small competes in Andorra World Cup events

Greta Small has competed in the World Cup alpine skiing events in Andorra over the weekend, with a downhill and two super-g events taking place in the resort of Soldeau.
 
First up was the downhill where Small finished in 54th.
 
In the super-g events, Small was 37th in event one, and in the second event Small was 54th.
 
Next weekend Small is entered to compete in the downhill and super-g World Cup events in Val di Fassa, Italy, and Hugh McAdam will compete in the slalom in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia.
