2022 Olympian Louis Muhlen-Schulte has competed in World Cup events in Madonna di Campiglio, Italy, and Adelboden, Switzerland, during the past week, his best result coming in the giant slalom at Adelboden where he placed 39th. Compatriot Hugh McAdam also competed alongside Muhlen-Schulte in the slalom events.
First up was a night slalom World Cup in Madonna di Campiglio, where Muhlen-Schulte and McAdam both recorded a DNF (did not finish) in the first run.
The World Cup tour then moved to Adelboden for slalom and giant slalom races.
In the slalom, Muhlen-Schulte finished the first run in 53rd place, Hugh McAdam recorded a DNF.
The final event in Adelboden was a giant slalom, where Muhlen-Schulte just missed the top-30 second run by 0.96 seconds in 39th place.
Next weekend Muhlen-Schulte and McAdam will be competing in the slalom at the annual World Cup races in Wengen, Switzerland, on January 19.
Three-time Olympian Greta Small will compete in her fist World Cup events of the new year, at a downhill and super-g scheduled for the 2026 Olympic resort and courses in Cortina d’Amprezzo, Italy, on January 18 and 19.
