Small competes in weather impacted Garmisch World Cup

NSWIS alpine skier Greta Small has continued her return to World Cup competition in the weather impacted Garmisch Partenkirchen World Cup in Germany, finishing the super-g in 43rd place.

Originally a downhill was meant to open proceedings in Garmisch, but bad weather prevented mandatory training earlier in the week, forcing organisers to reschedule the event to January 31 as a second super-g competition.

Small finished 5.08 seconds behind event winner Lara Gut-Behrami of Switzerland

Bad weather again struck overnight, postponing the competition for a second time, with the second super-g event to take place tonight at the German resort.
