Weekend World Cup action saw Olympians Greta Small and Louis Muhlen-Schulte along with Snow Australia National Team member Hugh McAdam compete in women’s speed events in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, and the men’s slalom in Kitzbuehel, Austria.
German resort Garmisch-Partenkirchen hosted the women’s downhill and super-g races, with Small unfortunately not finishing her run in either event.
Victory in the downhill went to Italian Federica Brignone, and the super-g was won by Lara Gut-Behrami of Switzerland.
Competing in the iconic men’s Kitzbuehel Hahnenkamm World Cup in Austria, Muhlen-Schulte and McAdam took part in the slalom event on Sunday, both did not finish their run.
Frenchman Clement Noel won the slalom, Marco Odermatt of Switzerland won the super-g, and the downhill event witnessed a remarkable upset as Canada secured both gold and bronze medals. James Crawford led the charge, achieving the first World Cup victory of his career and marking Canada's first win on the Strife course in Kitzbuhel in 42 years.
Tonight Muhlen-Schulte will be competing in the giant slalom in Schladming, Austria, and tomorrow he will be joined by McAdam in the slalom.
