BIOGRAPHY
Charlotte Wilson has rapidly emerged as one of Australia’s brightest talents in winter sport, making a rapid impact on the mogul skiing circuit during her rookie season at the elite level.
Born in the NSW Snowy Mountains region, Wilson transitioned from promising junior to belonging at the top level at her first World Cup in Ruka, Finland, unlucky not to make finals finishing in 20th place.
From there, her progress was rapid. In her second event, she broke into the top-16 finals, and by her third start, she had advanced to the top-six super final round—an extraordinary rise for a newcomer.
The defining moment of her season came on the future 2026 Olympic course in Livigno, Italy, where Wilson stunned the field to claim her first World Cup victory in dual moguls. In just her tenth World Cup start, she defeated a string of the sport’s biggest names, including world number four Maia Schwinghammer, Japan’s Rino Yanagimoto, 2018 Olympic champion Perrine Laffont, and finally Jaelin Kauf, the reigning World Cup leader, in a commanding 22–13 final.
This historic triumph made Wilson only the third Australian female mogul skier to win a World Cup gold, following Britt Cox and Jakara Anthony. It also set a national record for the fewest starts before a World Cup victory, cementing her status as one of the fastest-rising stars in the sport.
Her outstanding debut season earned her the title of FIS Mogul Skiing Female Rookie of the Year, as voted by coaches from around the world. Wilson capped off the year with an impressive World Championship debut in St. Moritz, Switzerland, finishing seventh in moguls and 15th in dual moguls.
Wilson will be aiming to replicate her performance from the Olympic test event into her Olympic debut at the 2026 Milano-Cortina Games
