The Sydney based NSWIS rider made his World Cup debut in 2016 in Montafon, Austria, placing 38th.
Miller started the 2017-2018 season in good form, with a top-20 in Cerro Catedral, Argentina, and a personal best World Cup result of 11th place in Val Thorens, France.
Unfortunately Miller just missed out on qualification to the Australian team for the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games, but showed plenty of promise to be offered a contract with the Olympic Winter Institute ahead of the 2018-2019 World Cup season. Miller's best result in the 2018-2019 World Cup season came in the opening event in Cervinia, Italy, placing 40th.
Q & A
Proudest moment: A tie between competing in my first World Cup in Montafon and finishing Cam Bolton’s birthday cake to get a feature in his Q&A
I began my sport in ... 2007, the idea of missing weeks of school for any sport was appealing. Thanks interschools
When I am not training or competing I am: Either playing golf or thinking about sport whilst being buried in uni work that is overdue because of sport... and getting distracted by fire memes.
I enjoy my sport because ... Its simplicity; first one to the bottom wins. There’s no judges, no scores, which I feel creates opportunity for self expressionism. We also wear helmets which covers my bald head. Oh and did I mention we go really fast?
Education: Currently struggling through bachelor degree in business, also Adam Lambert and I have learned what I would guess is about 1/100th Italian.
Favourite international competition: MXC, say what you want about the Japanese game show, but the athletes featured I feel were 10x better than any ninja warrior.
Favourite Food: Sushi! Although it’s unfortunately quite hard to get on tour.
Favourite Music: My Spotify is a mash of anything you can find in karaoke bar and some other pop/ indie music. However I still maintain Tik Tok by Ke$ha is my anthem.
Favourite other sport to watch or play: Golf! But I also follow the nba, cricket and rugby.
Childhood Ambition: To be a Pokémon trainer; however once I released that was implausible, I thought being a professional athlete and getting payed to play sport everyday would be amazing. So I guess I’m halfway there.
My Hero is ... Lebron James 23! One day I hope I will get bib 23 in a race, it hasn’t happened yet, but when it does.... I’m sure I’ll completely mess up my run and question why I think that number is so lucky.
