BIOGRAPHY
Hailing from Canberra, Reilly Flanagan is one of Australia’s up and coming aerial skiers.
A former gymnast from Woden Valley Gymnastics Club, Flanagan transitioned into aerial skiing .
Currently a Victorian Institute of Sport scholarship holder, Flanagan is studying a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science, balancing academic pursuits with elite sport.
Flanagan’s international breakthrough came during the 2024/2025 FIS World Cup season, highlighted by a podium finish in the mixed team event at Lake Placid. Partnering with Laura Peel and Abbey Willcox, the Australian trio secured bronze, marking Australia’s first mixed team medal since 2017. Individually,
Flanagan delivered consistent performances across the circuit, including 17th place at Livigno (Italy), 24th at Deer Valley (USA), and top-30 finishes in Almaty and Beidahu, earning valuable World Cup points and experience.
At the 2025 FIS World Championships in St. Moritz, Flanagan represented Australia as the sole male aerialist. He placed 23rd in the individual event and contributed to a strong fourth-place finish in the mixed team competition, alongside Peel and Scott.

I began this sport .... I began the sport of Aerial Skiing when I was 16 years of age in 2021.
Participation in other sports: Since I was 6 years old, I had been training and competing at national and international level in Gymnastics.
Favourite overseas competition and why: My favorite overseas competition is Deer Valley because of its amazing atmosphere and the incredible crowd that comes out to support it.

When I am not training/competing I am: Surfing, rock climbing or spending time with my family outdoors.
