TUVA BYGRAVE
BIOGRAPHY
Tuva Bygrave grew up between Oslo, Norway, and Canberra, Australia, and now trains in Norway while completing a Master of Law after earning a Bachelor of Business Management.
Bygrave spent four years competing and studying in Alaska as part of the University of Alaska Anchorage team and is a member of the Canberra Alpine Club, and her home Australian mountain is Perisher. During her NCAA career, she recorded multiple top-10 finishes, including fourth in the 15km freestyle at the 2021 NCAA Championships in New Hampshire. Her career highlights include a strong showing at the 2025 World Championships in Trondheim, where she helped Australia achieve its best-ever relay result with 12th place, finished 32nd in the 50km mass start free, and 44th in the 10km classic. On the World Cup circuit, she placed 39th in the 10km skate in Cogne, Italy, and 17th in the mixed relay in Engadin, Switzerland. Bygrave's goal is to represent Australia at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games and help the women’s relay team break into the top 10, a historic milestone for Australian cross-country skiing.
