BIOGRAPHY
Jackson Harvey was born in Winter Park, CO, USA, and joined the Winter Park Competition Centre at a young age competing on the Rocky Mountain freestyle tour.
Raised by parents who both worked in the ski industry, with his mother hailing from Melbourne, Harvey is a dual citizen of Australia and the United States. He decided to relocate to Australia in 2022 to pursue his dreams of World Cup success with a strong belief that the Australian program is the best in the world.
Harvey's first international podium result came in 2019, where he notched a third place finish in the dual moguls at the Steamboat NorAm event – his first weekend competing at the NorAm level.
In 2021, Harvey placed third in the moguls at the U.S. Selections Event in Winter Park and after placing second and fourth at the FIS Australian National Championship at Perisher, showed he was ready for World Cup competition.
At his first World Cup event in Ruka, Finland, Harvey qualified for finals and placed 14th in a promising debut performance. At the following event in Idre Fjall, Sweden, Harvey had a personal best result of 11th in just his second World Cup start.
Harvey finished the World Cup season ranked 16th on the standings, and also made his World Championship debut in Bakuriani, Georgia, where he placed 28th in moguls and 19th in dual moguls.
At the 2023 Australian National Championships at Perisher, Harvey recorded his first win on day two, his first career victory at the FIS level.
Unfortunately in training before the first World Cup of the 2023-2024 season in Ruka, Finland, Harvey ruptured the ACL in his knee, require season ending surgery.
Harvey is aiming to return to competition at the commencement of the 2024/2025 World Cup season.
