NSWIS athlete Greta Small has made a successful return to World Cup competition, with a personal best finish in the downhill at Crans Montana, Switzerland and 2.45 seconds behind the winner, Sofia Goggia of Italy.
Small finished in 34th place, eclipsing her previous best World Cup downhill result of 36th achieved in January 2018.
Small posted after the race:"comeback race is in the books and a PB in World Cup downhill, let's keep working!"
Small also took part in another downhill and super-g in Crans Montana, but did not finish her run in both events.
Next up for Small is the World Cup event in Garmisch Partenkirchen, Germany, with a downhill on January 30 and super-g on January 31.
