The two-time Olympian had a strong qualifying performance, advancing to finals in in 7th place, 0.87 seconds behind the first place qualifier Sandra Neaslund of Sweden.
In the first round of finals, Kennedy-Sim was unable to progress to the next round, finishing in fourth place in her quarter final heat.
Neaslund went on to take victory in the women's event, with Russian skier Sergey Ridzik winning the men's event.
The Ski Cross World Cup tour now heads to Europe, with a double event in Val Thorens, France, on December 9-11.
